World Champion - CMAS World Championship 2017 Winner
This is, without a doubt, one of the most special photographs of my life. Captured in La Paz, during the CMAS Underwater Photography World Championship 2017, it allowed me to add to the medal tally and achieve the title of world champion. A sea lion emerges marking its territory with a perfect bubble, ephemeral and almost impossible to immortalize. It was a fleeting moment like a flash of lightning, in exactly the right place and at exactly the right second.
This image represents not only a victory, but also the absolute connection between photographer, nature and destiny. My favorite of the World Cup, for all that it means.
