In the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, something extraordinary happened: a leatherback turtle, the largest and most majestic of all, was accidentally trapped in a trap in Ceuta.
But this story does not end in tragedy. Together with the almadraba divers, we experienced a moment of pure cooperation and respect. With care and emotion, we managed to free her without the slightest damage.
A unique, historic encounter with an almost prehistoric being in a sea where its presence is already almost a whisper. This image is a witness of what can happen when human beings decide to care, and not just observe.
