The supposed sensor improvement in GoPro from 1\/2.3″ to 1\/1.9″ is mainly a marketing move: the sensor area was simply increased vertically to achieve a more square format (8:7), but there is no real gain in light capture.<\/p>

In fact, the GoPro Hero 10, 11, 12, and 13 models are practically identical in hardware.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Insta360 has increased the actual sensor size by +57% (in a 16:9 ratio), achieving a massive improvement in light capture and image quality, especially in low-light conditions.<\/p>

As a technology enthusiast (and a self-proclaimed geek for anything that represents a real improvement), every small advance makes a huge difference to me.\n\n\n

I started using the X4, which already seemed impressive to me.\n\n
